(RAIN OR SHINE) Welcome The Saco Spirit Sidewalk Arts Festival Committee invites you to participate in the 42nd Annual Sidewalk Arts Festival located in the heart of beautiful historic downtown Saco. Thousands of people attend this annual event where more than 175 artists and craftsmen display a rich variety of artwork, photography, and sculpture.
The Saco Sidewalk Arts Festival is an annual event organized and managed by Saco Spirit Inc., a non-profit organization committed to making Saco a better place to live and work by enhancing the vitality of our downtown. The Saco Sidewalk Arts Festival Committee is dedicated to promoting art and culture in our community. Proceeds from the Sidewalk Arts Festival are re-invested into the community. Members of Saco Spirit’s Arts Festival Committee and all our hard working volunteers look forward to seeing you this year, and thank you for your participation.
Application Instructions; Please fill out the application form included with this letter by May 1st, 2013. This information enables the Arts Festival Committee to better serve all applicants and ensure a safe and enjoyable event for the artists and the community. Applications will be accepted after this date but may exclude applicants from promotional materials or desired location.
· Each application form must be accompanied with an entry fee of $75.00. Please make checks payable to: SACO SPIRIT SIDEWALK ARTS FESTIVAL. If you would like confirmation notification BY MAIL, please include a self addresses stamped envelope, otherwise you will receive email confirmation once your application and payment has been processed. (Please print email address legibly)
· First time exhibitors must include PHOTOS of their work with the application and payment. Please include a SASE if you would like your photos returned (large enough to accommodate) or they will be returned at registration.
· Display spaces will be assigned on a first come first served basis, (unless previous arrangements have been made). Spaces are 10x10. All traffic safety issues and respect for property will be strictly observed and maintained. The Art Festival Committee will make every attempt to provide you with the same spot as previous years. Please make note on your application of any request for changes. The Art Festival Committee will do their best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee all requests.
· All Craft Exhibitors will be located in Pepperell Square which is closed to traffic during the Festival.
· Exhibitors may not dismantle booths prior to 4 p.m. without written consent of the Arts Festival Committee.
· Exhibitors are responsible for all State of Maine Revenue requirements.
· Awards and Prizes If you wish to be judged, please pick up a tag at the registration table. Place this tag on the piece you wish to have judged in your booth.
Festival judges will base their choices on the following criteria……..
FINE ART/ CRAFT ORIGINALS ONLY PLEASE: Reproductions will not qualify for an award.

§ Merit Awards - $50.00
§ Best Booth Presentation $50.00 (open to all booths – no tag necessary)
